Setup guide

Set up SugarHalo Mini from your phone or computer through the local web portal. Keep your primary CGM app, receiver, or normal care routine active while SugarHalo is being configured.

  1. Plug in SugarHalo Mini. Use a stable USB-C power source and wait for the setup screen or QR code to appear.
  2. Open the setup portal. Scan the QR code shown on the display, or join the temporary SugarHalo setup Wi-Fi network and open the web portal from your browser.
  3. Connect Wi-Fi. Choose your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and save.
  4. Choose your glucose source. Select Dexcom, LibreLinkUp, or Nightscout and enter the connection details for that service.
  5. Adjust display and alert settings. Set brightness, alert thresholds, alert sound, alert duration, and any other preferences you want before daily use.
  6. Wait for the first reading. The device may reboot after saving settings. Once Wi-Fi and the glucose source are working, the display should begin showing the latest available reading.

Dexcom

Choose Dexcom in the portal, enter the account credentials used for Dexcom Share, select the correct region if shown, and save. If the display reports a Dexcom issue, confirm the login, region, internet connection, and that Dexcom data is available in the official app.

LibreLinkUp

Choose Libre in the portal and use the LibreLinkUp account that has access to the person you want to display. If multiple shared connections are available, select the correct person before saving.

Nightscout

Choose Nightscout, enter the base site URL, and add the API token if your Nightscout site requires one. Use the main site address rather than a direct API path, and prefer HTTPS when available.

Open settings Use the local web portal from your phone or computer.
Check for updates Run firmware updates while the device is powered and connected to Wi-Fi.
Keep primary alerts on SugarHalo Mini is an informational companion display, not a medical device.

Troubleshooting

Most issues come from Wi-Fi, source credentials, source sharing, or a temporary service response. These checks cover the most common situations before contacting support.

The display says No Data

Confirm Wi-Fi is connected, the selected glucose source is still sharing data, and your primary CGM app has a recent reading. If the source has stale or missing data, SugarHalo Mini may show No Data until a fresh value becomes available.

The display says Dexcom issue

Check the Dexcom login, region, and Dexcom Share availability. If Dexcom servers are temporarily unreachable, leave the device powered and connected; SugarHalo Mini will keep trying to recover.

The portal will not open

Make sure your phone or computer is on the same Wi-Fi network as SugarHalo Mini. If the device is still in setup mode, join the SugarHalo setup network or scan the QR code on the display.

Alerts do not sound

Check the alert volume, threshold settings, alert duration, and whether the current reading is inside or outside the configured range. Test the alert sound after changing settings.

The update appears stuck

Keep the device powered for a few minutes. If it does not return to the normal screen, unplug it, plug it back in, reconnect to Wi-Fi if needed, and try the update again from a steady network.
