I was 13 when I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. Since then my parents have done the 3am checks, the sleepless nights, and the worry that doesn't really go away when your kid leaves for college.
I built SugarHalo because I was tired of unlocking my phone every twenty minutes to check a number, and tired of sleeping through Dexcom alerts I couldn't hear. I wanted something quiet and always visible. Something my family could glance at too.
SugarHalo is the device I wish my parents had when I was younger, and the one I built for myself now.
